Job summary

CAVA is seeking a Manager of Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps to lead design, implementation, and operations of our cloud platforms. You will head a team of cloud engineers and site reliability engineers to build scalable, secure, and observable systems across our digital ordering platforms.

You will drive capacity planning, KPIs, cost optimization, security practices, and cross-functional collaboration while shaping engineering culture and mentoring talent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing Cloud Engineering team
• 5+ years in a Cloud Engineering role
• Experience with cloud-based DevOps
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of the cloud platform for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architecture cloud solutions and ensure delivery.
• Manage cloud engineering team capacity planning and staffing for current and future needs.
• Build and mentor a high-performing cloud engineering team with career growth plans.
• Define KPIs for engineers and drive measurable performance.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud principles, automation, observability, self-healing, and high availability.
• Manage cloud platform operational costs and optimize cloud spend.
• Enforce security: threat modeling, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, monitoring and incident response.
• Continuously improve processes and workflows for efficiency and quality.
• Lead research on emerging cloud trends for relevancy.
• Manage vendor relationships with cloud providers.
