Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Lead System Engineer to drive cloud infrastructure, reliability, and DevOps strategies. You will design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems while championing modern cloud engineering practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams, mentor engineers, and translate complex requirements into automated infrastructure using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and robust monitoring across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field.
• 4–6 years in system engineering, cloud infra or DevOps.
• Experience with AWS and Azure DevOps toolchains.
• Solid understanding of DevOps fundamentals (security, scalability, reliability).
• Hands-on Kubernetes setup, configuration, deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-based, fault-tolerant infrastructure across regions.
• Lead DevOps operations and CI/CD pipelines with modern tools.
• Oversee networking, security, and monitoring for reliability.
• Collaborate with Agile teams, mentor members, and drive deliverables.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash/PowerShell and scripting languages.
