Job summary

EPAM Systems in Houston seeks an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure AWS infrastructure for high-impact client engagements. You will partner with Cloud Ops, Cybersecurity, and Network teams while shaping scalable automation and HPC workloads.

You will write IaC with Terraform, support CloudFormation/AWS CDK, and develop Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripts to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Proficient with Terraform; CloudFormation/AWS CDK a plus.
• Familiar with HPC workloads and parallel compute environments.
• Experience with Docker and container registries (ECR).
• Ability to document requirements and translate them into technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; support CloudFormation and AWS CDK as needed.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash to streamline workflows.
• Architect and support HPC and parallel compute workloads (Auto Scaling Groups, AWS Batch).
• Manage and optimize S3 storage and cross-account access configurations.
• Build and maintain Docker images; manage registries via ECR and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
