Job summary

SHR Consulting Group seeks a Senior Cloud Application Developer to design, develop, and modernize secure cloud-native applications for FEMA NFIP PIVOT environments. You will lead integration, containerization, automation, and cloud migrations across enterprise cloud environments, collaborating with diverse technical teams throughout the SDLC.

The role requires 7+ years in software engineering, strong Java/Spring Boot and REST API experience, and expertise in Docker/Kubernetes, GCP, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud development or related field.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with GCP or major cloud platforms and cloud-native design principles.
• Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle for build/dependency management.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, automated testing, deployment automation, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC concepts.
• Ability to lead technical efforts and mentor engineers across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers across cross-functional teams.
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity, QA, product owners, and data engineers.
• Triage and resolve complex production issues in cloud and enterprise environments.
