Job summary

SHR Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Cloud Application Developer to design and modernize secure, scalable cloud-native applications for the FEMA NFIP PIVOT environment. Lead development of backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

You will leverage GCP and IaC with Terraform, participate in CI/CD with Harness, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevSecOps setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering or cloud development.
• Advanced experience with Java/Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Experience in cloud-native design on GCP or another public cloud.
• Proficient containerization, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native apps and microservices.
• Lead integration, containerization, and automation across environments.
• Build and secure scalable cloud solutions using Java/Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain APIs, data integrations, and enterprise services.
• Implement IaC with Terraform and manage deployments with Harness CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevSecOps setup.
• Provide technical guidance and code reviews for junior engineers.
