Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a Lead Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native data ingestion and processing solutions. The role focuses on batch, streaming, and event-driven architectures, providing senior technical guidance across engineering teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence architectural directions, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and enterprise-aligned. Office-based with possible flexible arrangements and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of software/cloud engineering experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and/or Python.
• Experience building and operating enterprise data platforms for high-volume batch and streaming workloads.
• Experience designing and supporting distributed systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, and supports enterprise applications and platform services.
• Evaluates architectural approaches and recommends technologies based on requirements, cost, scalability, reliability, and supportability.
• Develops cloud-native solutions using APIs, event-driven patterns, and distributed systems principles.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance during design reviews and implementation activities.
• Troubleshoots complex production issues and drives root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Mentors engineers and serves as technical lead across projects.
