Job summary

The Huntington National Bank seeks a Lead Software Development Engineer to design, build, and support cloud-native data ingestion and processing platforms. You will lead technical efforts across batch, streaming, and event-driven workloads, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enterprise data solutions aligned with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in software or cloud engineering.
• Experience with Java and/or Python for enterprise apps.
• Experience building data platforms for high-volume batch and streaming workloads.
• Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and support enterprise applications and platform services.
• Evaluate architectures and select technologies based on business needs, cost, scalability, reliability.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using APIs, event-driven patterns, and distributed systems.
• Provide technical leadership during design reviews and implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis and remediation.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and enterprise integration patterns.
• Mentor engineers and lead projects across teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
