Emerson Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Coordinator in the Pre-Surgical Testing department. You will lead Clinical Coordinators, coordinate daily workflows, and schedule pre-op testing to ensure complete documentation and smooth patient experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in healthcare settings, strong communication, and ability to train staff. No licensure is required; this is a fast-paced position with a focus on quality patient service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare, medical office, ambulatory care, surgical services, or hospital experience required.
  • Previous experience in Pre-Surgical Testing strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience serving as a trainer, preceptor, lead, resource staff member, or in an informal leadership role preferred.
  • Licensure and/or Certification: None required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all core Clinical Coordinator functions in the Pre-Surgical Testing Department.
  • Serve as lead resource for Clinical Coordinators; coordinate workflow and staff coverage.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.00 / Hourly


Job Summary: Reports directly to the Nurse Practitioner Lead and Perioperative Nurse Manager. Responsible for performing all core Clinical Coordinator functions while serving as the lead resource for Clinical Coordinators within the Pre-Surgical Testing Department. Assures daily operational requirements are met, coordinates workflow and staff coverage, schedules Pre-Surgical Testing appointments, supports training and onboarding of new Clinical Coordinators, monitors the completeness of pre-operative documentation, and facilitates communication among providers, patients, surgical offices, and hospital departments. Serves as a liaison between frontline staff and departmental leadership to promote efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient service.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare, medical office, ambulatory care, surgical services, or hospital experience required.

  • Previous experience in Pre-Surgical Testing strongly preferred.
