Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Lead Laboratory Technologist on its Main Campus to lead and coach a team within a high‑functioning laboratory. The role focuses on technical mastery, compliance, and ongoing education of staff and residents in a fast‑paced environment.

You will oversee QC, instrument maintenance, and assay validation while guiding procedural development and staff training to ensure accurate test results and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform clinical laboratory functions
• Provide instruction and training to students, employees and residents when in Education Track
• Coach and supervise team members, ensuring compliance and education across the unit

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing compliantly and maintain regulatory knowledge
• Adhere to quality control policies and document all QC activities
• Train and educate staff and students in theory, safety, and testing protocols
• Validate/verify new assays under Medical Director direction
• Write and update technical procedures for review and approval
• Resolve daily technical problems and serve as a technical resource
