Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Department System Supervisor to manage daily operations, ensure accurate test results, and maintain policy and procedures in collaboration with the Laboratory Director. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree, Florida Supervisor licensure (SU preferred), and at least five years of laboratory experience.

Strong communication with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five years of laboratory experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily lab department operations and policy compliance.
• Schedules and ensures attendance, logkeeping and communication.
• Performs routine patient testing and reports results including critical results.
• Maintains QC, proficiency testing, and maintenance records.
• Ensures regulatory compliance (CAP, Joint Commission, AHCA).
