Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino Coast seeks an experienced Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist to provide technical leadership and supervision within the laboratory. The Lead CLS will oversee testing, coordinate POCT, supervise personnel, maintain quality and regulatory standards, and act as a CLS resource when needed.

Responsibilities include serving as a technical consultant and direct supervisor, reviewing test results, coordinating staffing, and ensuring compliance with CLIA, FDA, CAP, Joint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Allied Health Technologies, or equivalent.
• 5 years of clinical laboratory experience – Preferred
• 2 years of leadership experience – Preferred
• Senior CLS or Lead CLS experience – Preferred
• EPIC experience – Preferred
• ASCP or NCA certification – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and supervision within the laboratory.
• Oversee laboratory testing and coordinate Point-of-Care Testing (POCT).
• Supervise laboratory personnel and maintain quality and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate staffing and ensure appropriate laboratory coverage.
• Identify training and competency needs; develop and conduct training programs.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration; oversee QC/QA.
