Job summary

East Hawaii Region of Hawai`i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) is seeking a Clinic Receptionist III to be the welcoming first point of contact across multiple outpatient clinics, handling patient registration, scheduling, and records management with confidentiality.

You will support billing, coordinate referrals, train staff, and help ensure efficient operations while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General Experience: Two (2) years of responsible clerical or administrative experience with office procedures and customer service.
• Specialized Experience: 1 year receptionist duties including patient registration, scheduling, data entry and medical records handling in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, reminders, referrals, and transfers with accurate patient and insurance information.
• Answer phones, greet patients, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts, medical records, billing docs, referrals, and other records with confidentiality.
• Process payments for outpatient services, issue receipts, and assist with financial assistance options.
