Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Mokena, IL is seeking an Experienced Climbing Arborist to join our on-site team. You will climb, prune, and remove trees, supporting the crew and reporting to the crew leader, with responsibilities including safe operation of equipment and essential tree-care tasks.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Climb and prune/remove trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems.
• Work with ground crew and crew leader as part of a crew.
• Perform pruning and removal safely and skillfully for clients.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
