Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a climbing arborist crew leader to direct a crew in providing arboricultural care. Office is outdoors; you will work with DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems and lead safety-focused tree care operations.

Responsibilities include pruning, cable installation, removal of hazardous trees, mentoring crew, operating tools like chainsaws and aerial lifts, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and ability to pass required orientation and safety trainings.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional; licenses may apply.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew and equipment; plans and executes assigned work.
• Lead arboricultural care including pruning, thinning, and removal of deadwood.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection; remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
