The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to direct a crew and deliver professional tree care outdoors in Rochester, MN. The office is outdoors and you will work with safety-focused protocols and modern climbing systems including DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS.

Responsibilities include pruning, cabling, removal of hazardous trees, and mentoring crew members through the Career Development Program. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Pesticide licenses preferred
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional® preferred

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Lead a crew in arboricultural care for clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
