Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Toledo, OH is seeking a dynamic Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to direct a crew and manage tasks outdoors. Your office will be the jobsite as you climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems and deliver professional arboricultural care.

You will mentor crew members, follow H.O.P.E procedures, and operate equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more. Qualified applicants embrace safety, training, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and outdoor work readiness required.
• Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Completion of Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred pesticide licenses and related certifications.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew and equipment to provide arboricultural care.
• Perform pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
