Job summary

Teufel-Landscape is seeking a Lead Climber to oversee tree care operations in Hillsboro, OR. You will lead climbing, pruning, removals, rigging, and specialty work, ensuring safety and adherence to ANSI standards, while mentoring a crew and maintaining high client satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years of climb experience, strong leadership and communication, and a solid knowledge of tree biology and rigging. CDL preferred; pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional tree climbing experience.
• Experience leading tree care crews.
• Knowledge of ANSI A300 pruning standards and safety practices.
• CDL preferred; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee tree climbing, pruning, removals, rigging, and specialty tree care operations.
• Mentor crew members and develop climbing arborists and apprentices.
• Ensure safety and compliance with ANSI Z133 and OSHA during operations.
• Coordinate with clients and management to meet specifications and timelines.
