Job summary

Aegon is seeking a seasoned Manager to lead a team of Client Engagement Associates, partnering with Client Executives to plan and execute retirement plan administration for clients and advisors.

The role emphasizes setting goals, directing work, coaching performance, and ensuring compliance while collaborating with leadership on budgets and roadmaps. Travel to client meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent education/experience.
• Eight years of financial or retirement industry experience.
• Supervisory/management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ERISA and retirement industry trends.
• In-depth knowledge of retirement programs/plan management, including administration, investment, and participant solutions.
• Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills.
• Decision-making skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
• Advanced skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish team goals and provide direction to ensure timely, quality results.
• Work with leadership on budget and department roadmap.
• Evaluate performance of team; coach and counsel members for improvement.
• Conduct team meetings and provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Interview, hire and train staff.
• Cultivate relationships with client engagement, account management, and external partners.
• Seek ways to improve effectiveness, efficiency and value for customers.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for case-related issues across teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Participate in sales and retention meetings.
