Job summary

Merit Medical is seeking a production supervisor in the Richmond, VA area to oversee shift operations, meet delivery deadlines, and drive quality improvements. The role requires coordinating with QA, maintaining clean room standards, and guiding a skilled team through daily production tasks.

You will train staff on proper production methods, monitor performance, and help optimize processes to achieve profitability targets while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvement.
• Ability to read production drawings and work orders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production to meet delivery schedules and maintain quality.
• Lead and develop production staff; assign tasks and manage performance.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure product quality.
• Ensure clean room and safety standards are upheld.
• Train team on production methods and safety procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce waste.
• Monitor production metrics and profitability targets.
• Ensure paperwork and line clearances are completed on time.
• May act as second shift supervisor when needed.
• Perform related production supervision tasks.
