Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus (ABET Accredited).
• 8+ years of consulting engineering experience focused on structural design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia; SE preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling; Revit, RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, or STAAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design: develop concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite solutions for infrastructure projects.
• Prepare design deliverables: structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Analyze infrastructure systems: treat plants, tanks, clarifiers, pump stations, piping supports.
• Support construction-phase services: field observation and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate across disciplines to solve technical challenges for municipal and industrial facilities.
• Use BIM and digital tools to support planning through construction.
