Job summary

The Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Steam Projects Civil Section. The role involves managing select projects, designing SSCs for steam and electric generating stations, bid preparation, budgets, and field support.

You will supervise internal and external design efforts and provide 24/7 emergency response when required. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering with 8 or 6 years of relevant experience respectively,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and supervise teams.
• PE license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete projects: design SSCs, specifications, bid packages, budgets and schedules.
• Prepare and direct design packages; review construction documents and coordinate with consultants.
• Ensure safety, health and environmental programs are followed; provide 24/7 emergency field support.
• Travel to Con Edison sites as needed for project execution and supervision.
