Job summary
Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Corporate Engineering team to lead Civil/Structural scope on large capital projects through Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Design. This role requires guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring design integrity across multiple project phases.
You will mentor engineers, coordinate with disciplines, and apply industry codes while leveraging Staad Pro, RISA, TEKLA, and E3D to deliver safe, compliant designs for industrial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required; PE license is a plus.
- 8+ years in Civil/Structural engineering with chemical/oil/gas or industrial exposure.
- 3+ years leading Civil/Structural projects with strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-specific Civil/Structural execution plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Lead and manage engineering scope across all phases (Pre-FEED, FEED, Detail Design).
- Monitor progress, track man-hours, and review documents for quality.
- Ensure compliance with codes (AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC) and use 3D tools (STAAD Pro, RISA, TEKLA, E3D).
