Job summary

Eastman in Kingsport, TN seeks a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to guide execution across Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Design on major capital projects. You will oversee cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with codes (AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC) and deliverables from design through review.

The role requires a PE license (preferred), a Civil/Structural engineering degree, and at least 8 years of industry experience with leadership in large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Open to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Civil/Structural engineering execution plans for large capital projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including all engineering disciplines, PMs, operations, and procurement.
• Lead and manage engineering scope across Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Design phases.
• Monitor progress, ensure on-time delivery, and control man-hours and deliverables.
• Review drawings, specs, and technical documents for compliance with codes and standards.
• Apply industry codes (AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC) and utilize 3D platforms in design and evaluation.
