Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Civil Preconstruction Estimator in Nashville to lead our preconstruction department. The role involves analyzing drawings and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates and coordinating bid processes for civil projects.

You will identify labor and material needs, solicit subcontractor quotes, and present final estimates to senior management. The position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and a track record in civil construction estimation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in civil construction.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, and docs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate estimating and bid processes for civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
