Zusammenfassung

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Civil Field Engineer for the Brownsville, TX site to lead field engineers, manage work planning, material control, safety, and quality. You will oversee mass earthworks, drainage, concrete piling, and site infrastructure, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

You will guide construction teams, coordinate with design and Startup, and work with project controls to manage scope and turnover.

Qualifikationen

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of related work experience.
• Experience in large LNG/civil projects is required.
• Knowledge of drainage, open-cut excavation, trenching, grading, and watercourses.

Aufgaben

• Performs the duties of a Lead Field Engineer, coordinating all activities related to the operation of assigned operating section.
• Guides and Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within the civil engineering discipline.
• Coordinates with design on constructability issues.
• Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
• Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting, and forecasting.
• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Possesses responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support system turnover.
• Work with project controls in identifying and managing scope trends
• Reviews and approves inspection test plans and reports
• Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals with engineering leads
• Prepares field change documents, non-conformance reports and requests for information (if required)
• Manage the preparation of requisitions for Field Material Requisitions and Field Service Requisitions.
• Reviews and provides input to the project staffing plan for construction engineers and associated
• Perform other duties as required by Bechtel management.
