City of Austin is seeking a Supervising Engineer to oversee project design and delivery in the Watershed Protection Department. This role involves supervising teams, managing budgets, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and city entities to ensure compliance with city policies and engineering standards.

The position requires a PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within six months) and strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills to deliver flood control and drainage

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of supervisory/management skills for programs, projects, and personnel.
• Knowledge of civil engineering concepts, mathematics, and applicable codes and laws.
• Experience with budget planning, cost estimates, and contract procedures.
