Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior civil engineer with a strong background in transportation design and project delivery. The role reviews design submittals for compliance with Tollway, IDOT, and AASHTO standards, leads constructability and value‑engineering efforts, mentors junior staff, and supports client engagement and winning new work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred).
• PE licensed in Illinois and 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review design submittals for conformance with Tollway/IDOT/AASHTO criteria.
• Lead constructability and value‑engineering coordination.
• Mentor junior team members and manage project staffing.
• Engage client and participate in proposal development to win work.
• Negotiate and develop project agreements and ensure design meets budgets and schedules.
