Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer in Chicago to lead the technical design of roadway, utility, and site projects. You will supervise design tasks, prepare reports, calculations, and exhibits, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders in a fast-paced Midwest team.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, a PE license (or within 1 year), and at least five years of civil design experience, with proficiency in MicroStation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, and ProjectWise.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
Illinois PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year; other state licenses a plus.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with civil design.
Experience with IDOT, IL Tollway, City of Chicago, utilities, or municipalities.
Proficiency in MicroStation, GeoPak, ProjectWise, OpenRoads; good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead technical tasks for Phase 1 and Phase 2 transportation projects.
Mentor and guide engineering staff across the team.
Develop technical reports, plans, specifications, calculations, and client forms.
