Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Growth Leader for the Chicago area to lead pursuit and delivery of work, expanding the Transportation business in Illinois. You will leverage client relationships, market knowledge, and technical understanding to win opportunities and strengthen Stantec’s market position.

The role requires deep leadership, senior-level business development, and a passion for delivering design excellence across projects, with hybrid work and in-office presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with leadership, financial management, business development and consulting.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of Stantec’s Transportation business in Illinois and the Chicago area.
• Develop growth strategies, pursue opportunities, and win work that transforms the business.
• Guide pursuits, lead campaigns, and manage key client relationships for top IL opportunities.
• Oversee risk management, contracts, and proposals on large pursuits with the risk team.
