Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the civil design and construction for renewable energy projects (wind and solar) in the Eastern Cape, with a primary base in East London. You will manage geotechnical investigations, foundations, roads, drainage, and other site infrastructure; supervise engineers and contractors; and ensure compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy.
• Experience with foundations for wind turbines or mounting structures.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical and structural engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Lead civil design and execution for renewable energy projects.
• Oversee site selection studies, including geotechnical investigations.
• Develop detailed civil designs for foundations, roads, and drainage.
• Manage procurement for civil works contractors and materials.
• Supervise construction, ensuring compliance with design, safety and quality.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and project stakeholders.
• Perform quality control and permit-related activities.
