Cogent Analytics’ client, a growing civil engineering and surveying team in Indianapolis, seeks a licensed Professional Engineer (Civil) to lead design, stamping, and delivery of land development projects. The role partners with PMs, surveyors, and consultants to take projects from concept through permitting and construction.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (Civil) license
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with grading, drainage, and site utility design
• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects
• Experience with land development and subdivision design
• Familiarity with municipal and state‑level submittal requirements
• Strong written communication skills for client‑facing deliverables

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and stamp civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
• Interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and survey data
• Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, and clients throughout the permitting process
• Perform engineering calculations and conduct quality control reviews on deliverables
• Provide technical guidance to project managers during project execution
• Participate in post‑project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed
