Job summary

Cornerstone Learning Center - East Memphis is seeking a Lead Teacher to support our Pre-K program. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass all background checks. Prior childcare experience is a plus. The Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm shift offers competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• To be qualified for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks.
• Aplus if you have previous childcare experience!

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take initiative, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
