Job summary

BrightPath Kids in New Milford, CT is seeking a Lead Teacher to partner with families and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

You will create developmentally appropriate curriculum, plan activities based on children's interests, and communicate effectively with parents while collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality early childhood education. Full-time hours 9:00 AM–6:00 PM with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CDA or Head Teacher certification required.
• 2+ years of licensed child care experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests.
• Maintain a warm, clean environment that supports exploration.
• Partner with families to support care and education.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
