Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care is seeking a Lead Teacher in West Hartford, CT. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a safe, welcoming home-like environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

Responsibilities include creating engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula, curating activities based on child interests, and maintaining open communication with families. Excellent customer service and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field, or equivalent credential.
• CDA credential, Head Teacher certification, or 12 ECE credits.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Safety and supervision of children in assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment for children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to plan the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
