Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a Lead Child Support Technician to join the Accounting unit. You will review critical accounting functions, including arrears calculations and payment processing, and work with a team to ensure accurate financial records.

You will mentor staff, analyze case records, identify compliance issues, and help implement process improvements while collaborating with the supervisor to support daily operations in a hybrid Denver setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED required.
• Five years of experience in child support initiation, enforcement, collections, investigations, case management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review critical accounting functions related to Child Support Services programs including arrears calculations and processing payments.
• Completes more complex calculations and ledger adjustments for cases.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentor new and tenured employees.
• Collaborate with training unit on course content and case reviews.
• Monitor work activity on accounting processes to ensure documentation is complete.
