Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an AMRAAM C9/D4 Execution Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership for multi-disciplinary development teams on the AIM-120-C9 and D4 variants. The role interfaces with senior program management, stakeholders, suppliers, and government customers while guiding major IPTs and product lines.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in leading large technical teams who can develop work plans and drive execution.
• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, management, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience working on modular systems architectures and product lines.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple Programs/Customers and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPTs and other functions to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Primary technical point of contact with internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
• Influence and align internal and external customers on the technical capabilities, technical risks and common architecture needs.
• Plan out and lead the incremental break-in of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities and other continuous improvement efforts.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of product development and production.
