Job summary

RTX Corporation in Tucson is seeking a Principal Engineer / IPT Lead to drive integration and execution across AMRAAM® production sub-systems. Lead a diverse team of engineers, oversee budgets, and ensure alignment with production constraints.

You will partner with VSMs and SMEs to maintain throughput and yield targets in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The role demands 8+ years in engineering, EVMS and program management experience, and strong communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with EVMS and program management.
• Experience in test systems engineering for hardware and software in production environments.
• Familiarity with IMP/IMS budgeting and risk management processes.
• Experience with financial performance reporting and EAC processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of 7–10 engineers and manage IPT scope.
• Analyze factory throughput and yield; drive improvement actions.
• Interface with chief engineers to align engineering with constraints and improvements.
• Collaborate with VSM/VSL to ensure program support for throughput and yield.
• Maintain project tracking and weekly reviews with REAs.
• Drive continuous improvements across multiple factories including Tucson.
• Oversee qualification efforts and scope-board projects.
