Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Chemist/Senior Chemist to lead technical development of high-performance liquid-applied coatings. You will support manufacturing, qualify raw materials, resolve customer issues, and ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.

You’ll partner across Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes hands-on formulation work, scale-up projects, and a strong safety culture in a dynamic production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants, polymers, or related formulation chemistry for Chemist level.
• 5–10+ years in product formulation and manufacturing support for Senior Chemist level.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of existing formulations and processes.
• Evaluate and qualify alternative raw materials to maintain performance and supply chain continuity.
• Investigate customer complaints with lab testing and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to implement CAPAs.
