Qualifications

• 5+ years of formulating experience in the paint and coatings industry.
• Deep knowledge of acrylics, alkyds, 2K polyurethane / polyester, and epoxy-amine chemistries.
• Direct experience with industrial, automotive aftermarket, agricultural, or marine coatings.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced 1K (acrylics, alkyds) and 2K (urethane, epoxy) coatings to meet customer and internal specs.
• Adapt liquid coatings for aerosol delivery, managing propellant compatibility, pressure, and spray patterns.
• Oversee testing including adhesion, weathering (QUV), corrosion/chemical resistance, and color matching.
• Transition lab formulations to full-scale plant manufacturing.
• Guide and train junior laboratory chemists in formulation techniques and lab safety.

Technical Qualifications
