Job summary
Entegris in Aurora, Illinois is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Chemical Process Engineering to drive high-impact process engineering and automation initiatives that improve safety, quality, throughput, and reliability.
You will lead capital projects, localize proven solutions, and mentor manufacturing engineers while serving as an operational backfill for leadership when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
- 5–10 years of hands-on process/manufacturing engineering experience.
- Ownership of capital projects including scope, budget, vendor coordination, installation and handoff.
- Strong project management with schedule ownership and cross-functional alignment.
- Experience applying Management of Change in manufacturing.
- Automation fundamentals with PLC/SCADA/HMI experience; GE Proficy iFIX, ISA S88 familiarity is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead major process improvement and capital projects from concept to production ramp-up.
- Localize proven manufacturing processes and automation solutions at the Aurora facility.
- Lead automation projects from proposal through commissioning and sustained performance.
- Design, qualify, troubleshoot, and support PLC/SCADA architectures with controls engineering.
- Apply robust Management of Change practices ensuring safety and quality compliance.
- Mentor and develop manufacturing engineers; provide leadership in the Senior Manager's absence.
