Job summary

Plum Market in Florida is seeking a Chef de Cuisine – Prepared Foods Team Leader to supervise all aspects of the Prepared Foods Department, including Front of House, Back of House, and Catering operations. You will ensure the highest level of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and team performance.

You will lead production, inventory, labor, margins, and scheduling while driving consistency and excellence across Prepared Foods offerings.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in culinary management.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, labeling and rotation practices.
• Hands-on culinary experience and kitchen operations proficiency.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operations of the Prepared Foods Department, including daily production, merchandising, and Customer engagement.
• Collaborate with FOH, BOH, and Catering teams to create a cohesive workflow.
• Set clear expectations and provide actionable feedback to team members.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, development, and scheduling.
• Ensure proper rotation, labeling, storage, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain department margins, control labor costs, and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Write and manage labor schedules to meet production needs.
• Handle Customer and Team Member concerns professionally.
• Partner with Store Leadership on performance issues and annual reviews.
• Work a flexible schedule including varied shifts.
