Job summary

Leprino Foods Company in Allendale, MI is seeking a Production Supervisor (Cheese) to lead a Cheese Department team in a 300-person facility. This role focuses on quality, safety, and efficient production while mentoring staff and coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.

Responsibilities include daily staffing, supervising shift operations, and ensuring sanitation, food safety, and regulatory compliance. Weekend/overtime flexibility is expected as part of a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years in food manufacturing with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with processing or packaging systems and SAP or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly team in Cheese Department to ensure quality, safety and efficient production.
• Plan daily staffing to meet production goals while maintaining safety.
• Coach and develop team through training and feedback.
• Coordinate with maintenance and QA to identify equipment needs and ensure timely repairs.
• Oversee sanitation and food safety programs to meet regulatory requirements.
