Job summary

Leprino Foods Company, located in Allendale, MI, seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the plant's maintenance function, improve reliability, and support production goals. You will guide maintenance supervisors, coordinate with production and engineering, and oversee planning, utilities, budgets, safety, and equipment performance.

The role emphasizes capital projects, staff development, and strong collaboration with safety and quality teams to sustain high-quality mozzarella production.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in food manufacturing maintenance or plant engineering.
• Two years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing supervisors or other leaders.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, refrigeration, pneumatics, and maintenance scheduling.
• Experience aligning maintenance with food safety, sanitation and production needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant maintenance function and guide Supervisors in planning and completing maintenance work.
• Build leadership and technical capability through coaching and training.
• Coordinate priorities and schedules with production teams to boost uptime.
• Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for equipment and utilities.
• Analyze performance and reduce unplanned downtime while improving reliability.
• Direct department safety training, tools, and expectations for safe work.
• Develop and monitor the Maintenance budget and spare-parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to support product quality and safety.
• Support capital projects from scope to start-up and equipment installation.
• Coordinate maintenance of electrical, refrigeration, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power systems.
