Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care and clinical leadership in a long‑term care setting in Texas. The role oversees nursing staff assignments, monitors outcomes, and supports care plan implementation and documentation in alignment with physician-directed care.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited RN license, at least one year of supervisory experience in healthcare, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN nursing school with a current RN nursing license in the appropriate state.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee patient care services in accordance with accepted nursing standards and physician-directed treatment plans.
• Observe, assess, document, and report patient conditions and changes in accordance with clinical policies and applicable regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed when assigned.
• Receive, transcribe, execute, evaluate, and implement physician orders and patient care plans.
• Coordinate the availability of equipment and supplies necessary to support patient care delivery.
• Direct, monitor, and coordinate nursing staff to ensure timely delivery of quality patient care services.
• Ensure accidents, incidents, and significant changes in patient condition are documented, reported, and communicated to appropriate parties, including attending physicians and responsible family members.
• Assist with staff performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary processes in accordance with organizational policies.
• Promote compliance with safety standards, infection prevention practices, OSHA requirements, abuse prevention policies, and applicable healthcare regulations.
