Job summary

Sterling Care Hillhaven is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will supervise Geriatric Nurse Aides and other staff, assign duties, and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation.

You will assess residents, coordinate with physicians, and ensure care plans are followed while maintaining confidentiality and resident dignity. This role requires flexibility and teamwork in a 24/7 facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care honoring residents' rights and dignity.
• Supervise G.N.A.s and ensure tasks are completed.
• Assign G.N.A.s and other staff to residents and manage breaks.
• Administer injections and medications within licensure scope.
• Maintain narcotics records and review dispensing documentation.
• Document care and progress in medical records; ensure confidentiality.
• Coordinate rounds with physicians and assess changes in condition.
• Ensure care plans are followed and resident status is evaluated.
