Avir at Commons in Athens, TX is seeking a compassionate Charge Nurse LVN/RN to provide direct nursing care and supervise daily unit activities. You will administer medications, oversee care plans, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a valid Texas nursing license and IV certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing.
• Valid State nursing license is required.
• IV certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents including medications and IVs as ordered.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities on the unit.
• Interpret policies to staff, residents, and families.
• Ensure staff follow job descriptions and maintain reference materials.
• Contribute to care plans, assessments, and treatment schedules.
• Monitor medication passes and timely administration.
• Support LPNs and CNAs with guidance.
• Maintain resident confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Commit to quality care, safety, and resident satisfaction.
• Participate in quality improvement and record-keeping.
