Qualifications

• 1 year recent full-time equivalent experience in L&D or completion of KP L&D course (includes basic fetal monitoring and NRP)
• California RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification within 12 months of hire
• Spanish bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Directs reviews, assigns and organizes the work of department staff to ensure quality patient care
• Provides professional leadership and direction to maintain efficient delivery of patient care
• Coordinates departmental operations and delegates tasks to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
• Facilitates patient flow, admission and discharge processes and interprofessional communication
• Leads and participates in quality improvement initiatives and staff development
• Attends Charge Nurse educational programs and supports professional growth
