Job summary

Vitality Living in Watkinsville, GA seeks a qualified LPN/LVN to oversee medication administration and patient care within our vibrant community. You will supervise care staff, monitor residents, and coordinate with Wellness Director to ensure compassionate, compliant services.

Responsibilities include measuring vitals, processing physician orders, documenting in charts, and participating in onboarding and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proficient in English communication, written and spoken.
• CPR certification required; maintain current certification.
• Maintain any licenses or certifications as required by state regulations for LPN/LVN.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist residents to self-administer medications and treatments.
• Measure vital signs and weight.
• Collect, store, and transport specimens for laboratory studies.
• Adhere to medication room systems per policy.
• Communicate with physicians via telephone, fax, and Physician Communication forms.
• Implement physician orders.
• Ensure physician orders, laboratory reports, and other data are scanned and filed in resident charts.
• Communicate with Wellness Director per policy.
• Adhere to home health and hospice protocols.
• Adhere to emergency protocols, including performing CPR and administering first aid as necessary.
• Act as community supervisor when management staff is not present.
• Supervise Personal Care Specialists to ensure daily completion of their duties.
• Assist in the development and revision of service plans.
• Inform Wellness Director of current resident needs and preferences.
• Take notice of resident concerns and report such problems to Wellness Director.
• Read Communication Log at beginning of each shift; enter pertinent information by end of shift.
• Read Shift Change Notes at beginning of each shift; enter pertinent information by end of shift.
• Attend onboarding, annual and in-service training and team member meetings, as requested.
• Perform other duties as directed by Wellness Director.
