Job summary

General Motors seeks a Cellular Wireless Technology Engineering Manager with a strong background in 4G/5G to lead connectivity hardware programs. You will manage a team delivering secure, reliable GM vehicle connectivity solutions and drive technology roadmaps through development to production.

The role requires 5+ years of management experience in hardware development, 10+ years in 3GPP cellular tech, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet ambitious milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in EE/CE and 5+ years of hardware development management.
• 10+ years in 3GPP cellular tech, including module design, testing or certification.
• IoT, smartphones or NTN module experience highly valued.
• Experience with RF theory, antennas and related test equipment.
• Strong problem solving and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of cellular technology experts and define roadmaps.
• Specify module and network functional requirements for TN/NTN.
• Oversee tests, evaluations and POC for connectivity hardware.
• Collaborate with vehicle integration, product management and systems engineering.
• Drive issue resolution to meet program milestones.
