Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI is seeking a Connectivity Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for sourcing, change management, and integration of connectivity telematics modules across GM vehicles.

You will own BOM management, ICD/ICDm, DFMEA, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, high‑performance hardware on schedule, while coordinating with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hardware development experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or related industries.
• Experience with GM processes for sourcing, part release, and ECRs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of hardware design release engineers focused on development and release of Connectivity hardware modules.
• Own BOM management and coordination of Tier‑N resiliency activities.
• Drive specification development for connectivity components (RF, power, security, regulatory, interfaces).
• Coordinate vehicle packaging and integration of ECUs into platforms with thermal and EMC constraints.
• Ensure production readiness and timely hardware delivery with contract manufacturers.
